Day 7 Alaska Trip

I had planned to send daily updates but the 600 miles that we have been driving each day, the lack of internet access, and, well..., my lack of understanding about how to create a blog have kept me from my goal.  I have also done several posts only to have them disappear...something which just happened again after I had spent an hour bringing the blog up to date. I'll give it another try.

Where to begin...we have dodged tornadoes in South Dakota, forded flooded highways in Montana, stopped our car for bear and moose by the side of the road, oooed and ahhhed our way through the Canadian Rockies, and slept in a cabin on the Alaska Marine Highway ferry.  The open spaces of South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana were also beautiful.  Big land and big sky.  Going through Montana, we also saw the aftermath of a train wreck.  A trian hit a car pulling a camper acroass the railroad tracks.  All we saw was the demolished camper.  We are hoping the car made it safely to the other side, but I don't think so.
